Our editorial team starts with a real job: carrying gear, setting up a desk, organising a small laundry or preparing for a weekend away.

What we assess

We compare publicly available manufacturer specifications, compatibility information, materials, sizing, maintenance needs, warranty information and current retailer availability. We use this to explain who an option may suit and what a reader should verify themselves.

What we do not claim

We do not present ourselves as a testing laboratory and do not state that we have personally tested a product unless a specific guide says so. We do not copy retailer reviews or promises into our editorial copy. Prices, stock and promotions are checked on the live retailer page because they change.
